Export Documentation

The GNCCI is responsible for issuing documentary evidence of origin for goods exported from Ghana and certifies a variety of other export documentations, e.g Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, etc. as required by overseas buyers and foreign customs authorities. The Chamber issues Certificate of Origin according to the International Certificate of Origin guidelines prepared by World Chambers Federation, International Chamber of Commerce’s specialized division for Chamber Affairs.
The purpose of the Certificate of Origin is to facilitate international trade and proves that the product exported is manufactured and produced in Ghana. It is required by certain countries in order to determine whether duties or tariffs should be assessed on the products being imported. The product can enter into those markets either duty free or under concessionary duty rates.
The Chamber currently issues six (6) types of certificates: EUR, GSP, Imperial Preference, ECOWAS.
Non Preferential and AfCFTA Certificate.
